Meet The Team

Gaius Myungjin Lee
President
I was born and raised in the family of Buddhism background. I accepted the Christ through my music teacher in junior High School.

From 1982 to 1987, I was involved in the college missions in the Navigators. In 1997 I graduated Korea Evangelism Theological Seminary, as well as missionary training from 2009 to 2010 in the US.

From 2006, I have been working as an exterior remodeling contractor as I have my roofing and public adjuster license. I am also a water and fire damage restoration technician.

When we met Jesus Christ, we were changed from being a idol worshiper to God's children. My whole family was converted and I realized one evangelist can change the whole family's life. So my heart all the time is concerned about other people who lives remotely and can't hear the gift of God. I want my business to be used for evangelism.

I saw Pastor Park in the internet and his mission where he had to go through a jungle. I kept praying for his mission. Finally in 2021, I was finally able to start to support him with my resources and business. In the end, after I visited the Kuna Tribe through the jungles, I realized that to help the tribes was God's Plan. I realized why I'm in the business I'm in and doing it in America is meaningful. This work makes me driven and encourages me to keep going.

Son K. Kim
Vice President
I was discharged from the Korean Navy in 1984. From 1986 to 1988, I served as a chef on a boat at the North Sea Shipping Company in Japan.

When I came to America in 1989, I started to work for a A-1 plumbing company. While there, I was able to learn and assist with fixing various plumbing issues and had the opportunity to install several sewer systems for many churches in near Chicago area.

Since 2007, I have been working with roofing and siding company dealing with all kinds of water, rain, and hail damages.

From all those water related work experiences that God led me to have, I saw the necessity of providing clean water and removing polluted water, which are the basic given-rights for most of. us. I started to develop a consuming passion of providing a clean water and toilets to those people in the mission fields. I am very intered in resolving drinking water issues with rainwater purification and building sewer systems for toilets.

Ryan Yongbaek Kim
Secretary
I received a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998.
I am a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois. I have been working for Safespeed, LLC since Oct 2007. Safespeed is a manufacturer of the Red-Light-Running-Camera (RLRC) Enforcement system/program for public safety. I started as a system technician developing, testing and maintaining the RLRC systems, but for last 12+ years, my main role has evolved into a permit engineer. My main duties are to consult with our engineering firm to prepare RLRC installation plans according to the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) guidelines and to communicate with IDOT’s regional engineers throughout the entire RLRC permit processes. I inspected 300+ intersections in 100+ municipalities in Illinois.
I have been attending Holy Nation presbyterian church for the last 14 years as an ordained deacon. I served in various departments including Young Adult, Business Men and Men’s Evangelism. I have been serving in the finance department for the past 6 years and have been leading the Lay Leader’s Graduate School for the past 8 years.
I believe, by God’s grace, I developed a strong sense of devotion for the people who are spiritually and physically in need as I once was one of them. I do have a deep appreciation for how Unified World Mission (UWM) seek to reach out and improve the quality of realities that the missionaries have to face in their fields every day.
